"expecco pro" for universities and academic research institutions
With our
education initiative, we support universities and other education and
research institutions: for non-commercial university projects expecco
pro is from now on available as a free university license for
download.
Whoever
works in the research and teaching in areas like automotive,
telecommunication, engineering or information technology will receive
the complete test suite. Next to a comprehensive introductory
presentation, users will also receive an unlimited online-access for
the expecco forum as well as the very detailed expecco documentation.
With the
test and quality-management system expecco pro, the user has a
flexible and professional surrounding that allows an agile and
model-based test development. Tests are created as graphical
executable models (activity diagram) and can be executed immediately.
Therefore, also users without any programming knowledge have the
possibility to actively take art in the creation, maintenance and
execution of tests. Through the re-usability of the test blocks and
the usage of comprehensive libraries, the development, automation and
analysis of even complex test scenarios is simplified and automated
significantly.
For
special application areas like the testing of user interfaces
(Internet Browser, Windows GUIs) or industry specific devices and
protocols, expecco offers a variety of integrated interfaces
and increments. An example for that is the integration of Selenium
IDE, an open source web-test framework for capture and replay. Thereby
interactions can be recorded with a website and taken over as an
activity diagram for further processing.
With
expecco pro the research has access to a test automation
system which is especially usable for the testing of complex systems,
architectures and applications. The system is easily enlargeable
through the user and therefore can be optimized for the most
